Astrology is an ancient science and precious heritage of Sanatan Dharma. Sage Parashar discovered it as early as around approximately 2500 years ago. Since then, there have been series of brilliant experts who have churned up the subject from time to time. Astrology as we see today, is a complex mix of science and art.
Just like medical science, astrology also has seen development of several pathies, systems and methodologies which continue even till date. Each one of it has its own specialities and today’s successful astrologers use a mix of such systems to verify their results and deductions from various angles to ensure better accuracy.
This science has been in use by entire spectrum of population ranging from various rulers class (kings) including modern day politicians to businessmen and industrialists to doctors (vaidya) to a common man to resolve all types of small and big problems being faced by them in their lives.
Dr. Shrikant Ojha, basically an engineer by training and education did his graduation in Civil Engineering and masters in Environmental Engineering followed by his Ph.D. and also a graduation degree in law, started his teaching career in 1982 in the erstwhile University of Jodhpur (now, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur) and retired as the Dean of the Faculty after serving 38 years of fulfilling career. His entry into the field of astrology was providentially decided by the God Himself, as quiet early in life he was drawn into a series of adverse circumstances one after another which caused him to visit several astrologers around him seeking resolutions of his problems. But he soon realised that majority of so-called consultants sitting in the market are hoax. The ensuing frustration prompted him to study the subject himself. Being a teacher and technically trained person, himself coupled with strong analytical skills and a bright academic record, he was able to pick up the subject briskly and successfully. With the passage of time, he used this hard-earned acquisition as a tool to serve the society and humanity at large. He started with Vedic Astrology, then studied KP Astrology followed by Cuspal Interlink Theory and also Nadi Astrology to name a few. He also studied Numerology and Vaastu Shastra to strengthen his armoury. He even developed a Windows based KP Astrology software as early as in 2002-2003, which is today being used by several Astrology enthusiasts across the country and outside.
After practicing astrology approximately over three decades and having helped so many persons in their difficulties/ distress, he decided to pass on his knowledge to the next generation in the family. His daughter-in-law, Divya Ojha after following him for around six years, now also has acquired quite a good grip on the subject and renders him a good support.
